~Program Notes~

Welcome to the 2021 CFMTA Honors Recital! We could not be more proud of our students and their great accomplishments this year. They have navigated through a worldwide pandemic while also balancing responsibilities at home, school, sports, and other activities. Through it all, music has remained a constant in their lives: a source of artistic passion, an outlet for fun and entertainment, a challenging puzzle that continues to unravel. As you watch these performances, I hope you feel inspired by their immense commitment. It certainly demands celebration!

I want to thank the parents who continue supporting them at home, where much of the work takes place.
I would also like to recognize our teachers for being an endless source of encouragement to their students and each other. They remain active members of CFMTA, Newnan Notes, and various other organizations designed to uplift our musical goals and efforts. These small networks and communities keep us moving forward as educators while also offering invaluable performance and learning opportunities to our students.

The Honors Recital is an annual tradition and CFMTA's proudest effort in recognizing and honoring student achievements. Students who are invited to perform have excelled at various events throughout the year and received awards at one or more of the following:

Outstanding Performance Award at Local Auditions (the first round of the GMTA Auditions Competition)

Excellence in Artistry Award at the NFMC Federation Festival

Recipients of the CFMTA Scholarship Award

Teacher's Choice for Honor and Recognition of Musical Growth

Congratulations, everyone! A giant round of applause to you all! Thank you for your endless hours of practice, patience, and dedication. Enjoy the show!
—Fernando Ramos, CFMTA President
